Settings

Settings live on the Round & settings tab and apply after Save. Time and prefix changes apply from the next round; the current one finishes with the old rules.

Round

Round

  • Bot messages in chat. When off, the bot does not post the question, hints, winner or answer in chat, and the quiz shows only in the stream widget. Chat answers still count. Without the widget nobody sees the question.
  • Time to answer: 10 to 300 seconds, 20 by default.
  • Pause between series questions: 0 to 600 seconds.
  • Series summary in chat: at the end of a series the bot posts the best players.
  • Answer prefix: up to 5 symbols, no letters, digits or spaces. Empty means any chat message is an answer.
Prefix and TTS

While a round runs, commands, TTS and exchange rates take priority over answers. If TTS on your channel is triggered by !!, the dashboard will not save the same quiz prefix. Pick another one, for example ??.

What counts

What counts

  • Case-insensitive and "ё" = "е" are on by default.
  • One-letter typo counts for answers of 5+ letters. Typos in digits and Roman numerals never count: "Nicholas I" is not "Nicholas II".
  • Answer inside a phrase accepts "it's a pyramid!" for "pyramid".

Auto hints

Auto hints

The bot reveals answer letters on a timer: first the first letter (C _ _ _ _), then about half of them (C _ i _ e). Time counts from the question; 0 turns a stage off. No hints after the round ends.

Start and topics

Start

Auto-start rounds starts a round every 1–240 minutes, only while you are live on Twitch.

Topics

Topics for !quiz and auto start set where questions come from. The number next to a topic is how many questions it has. A round started from the dashboard can use any topic.

Bot messages

You can replace the bot's texts with your own, up to 300 characters. An empty field means the default text. A preview under each field shows the result.

Bot messages

MessagePlaceholders
Question start{topic} topic, {clue_1} and {clue_2} clues, {seconds} time, {how_to_answer} how to answer
Hint{hint} revealed letters, {topic}
Win{user} winner, {answer} answer, {time} seconds it took, {topic}
Nobody guessed{answer}, {topic}

Your text is moderated when you save it, and the final message again before it is sent. If a message fails the check, the bot sends the default text.
