How to Add Message Voicing

  1. Open Text-to-speech in the dashboard.
  2. Turn on the Text-to-speech on switch.
  3. A Links for OBS block appears on the page. Add the link to OBS (below).

The "Links for OBS" block

The block has three links:

  • Text-to-speech: the main link. Paste it into an OBS dock: it has both the controls and the sound.
  • Controller, into a dock and Player, into a Browser source: for playing the sound on a separate audio track. See Split audio source for OBS.

All three links use one token. If a link leaks, click the circular-arrows button next to the main link (tooltip "Regenerate link"): all three are replaced, the old ones stop working immediately, and you paste the new link into OBS.

Adding to OBS​

  1. Go to Docks -> Custom Browser Docks...

  1. Add a new dock and paste the Text-to-speech link, name it as you wish.

  1. Click Apply and Close.
  2. The dock appears as a new window in OBS. Place it anywhere or leave it in a separate window.
  3. Done, now you can use voicing. Just click "Start voicing messages" and the bot will start voicing messages from your chat.
  4. Don't forget to check the settings on the text-to-speech page.
Separate audio tracks in OBS

If you use separate audio tracks, add the player as a "Browser" source and bind it to the track you need. See Split audio source for OBS.

Limitations​

The daily limit counts messages, not characters. It depends on the plan:

Basic voices (aidar, baya, kseniya, xenia, eugene) do not use the limit. Other voices do: one voiced message is one message of the limit.

When the limit runs out, messages are voiced with a fallback voice. The limit resets every day at 00:00 Moscow time.

The !ttsusage command shows what is left for today.
